Mmmm... Filipino mangoes are magic! It's a pain trying to find them here (they sell the red and green, more fibrous, Cuban mangoes; only Asians and South Asians seem to know about these). Might have to make that trip to Woodside in the spring.

Filipino mangos make me so happy. I wish I could introduce it to all my friends who have never had it.

I've had Mexican mangos before, and I am assuming that Cuban is similar -- like Indian but a bit more fibrous. Not bad, but it's almost a different fruit altogether.

Oh aww :( I was hoping that some of the fruits would be nicer in Japan (off the top of my head -- musk melon? square watermelons? and stuff)

Can't find square watermelons just anywhere, I don't think. Definitely not at my supermarket. And melons are ridiculously expensive, so I don't know exactly how good they are. D:
