I need a better filler word

Whenever I'm stuck for something to say, I use the word "thing" or "dead" to fill it in so I can move on. Occasionally, I almost submit the form without fixing the filler words, and am only stopped by the realization that no, "thing" is not helpful, and also it's not really "dead".

*lol* "Dead" is new to me. I only ever use "thing" or "stuff" or "whatsit". Though I figure it shouldn't be much of a bother if it's a comment made to a friend? Friends GET IT. XD

HEE. The problem being that this wasn't to a friend, and while I think that some of the people who would have seen it would have been amused, it also wasn't really the kind of thing I would have been caught dead doing (if I could help it XD)

I do the same thing. Keep using the same words over and over again. Stuff's another. Probably more that I can't think of just yet.

Ooh, one filler I use a lot is "...", because it doesn't look like a word, so it's easy to find and correct.
