I'm tempted to dye my hair either a stark black, blue-ish to get a nice halo effect in the sun, or a dark warm auburn thing for, well, warmth. Sadly, I don't think all three will work at the same time!

Depending upon your existing hair colour and whether you have a branch of LUSH within range, you can have your cake and eat it too! Caca Noir from LUSH can come out as a mix of either blue-black from the indigo or warm auburn from the henna - depending upon how you let it dry.

I suppose the brown-green sludgey colour of the stuff prior to application does look a little... turdlike. But it does work.

It occurs to me that, done right, auburn roots/body shading through black to blue tips might work. (Not that I've enough hair to do it with since I was 16 or so.)

Ooooh hm. That seems interesting, and weirdly enough I feel like I've read a character with hair with that shading (PHEW MOUTHFUL) before.
