A. Have been immersed in code to the point where I don't want to drag my thought-process out of it into English.

B. Am I even speaking English now? *thinks* yeah I guess I am

C. Basically, anything that doesn't end with a semi-colon isn't making much sense to me

D. I owe comments, like a lot of them. Like seriously a lot. I will try to catch up soon

E. I kinda love people. JUST SAYING.

F. I also kinda hate all paperwork. And bills. But mostly hate the bills because of the paperwork

G. My internet keeps going down o_o Good thing I have code to keep me company...

H. Hello iTunes-U! (When I can connect to you anyway)

J. Planning a trip is stressful. And fun. Also stressful. I owe comments about this as well <---- I will get back to you soon!

K. Like I guess most everyone else on Ravelry, I've started a Clapotis. Sock yarn, in a very pastel rainbow. Trying to decide whether that makes it good or bad.

L. I keep forgetting to eat meals >_< Good thing I have Doritos right here beside me.

M. I have plane tickets, as well as lodgings for London but not yet finalized anything else. Must get on that!

N. I just realized that I have what amounts to a 24-hour layover in the Thailand airport on the way home? Unless that's an hour and a half, not 25-and-a-half hours O_o I guess I should have paid more attention to that part of the trip.

Oh godl Semicolons!

I have gotten into such a bad habit with those so where when I am doing python, which I do occasionally I still stick them in ( thankfully it ignores them! )

At least I have licked the whole "ending sentences with them" habit I got into a bunch back.

I code in Python so much that I have the opposite problem nowadays of leaving them off where I shouldn't!

The semicolons in this example weren't enforced by any language; it was Perl code. They just ended the comments with semicolons, presumably because they had got used to doing it ;p

I'm reminded of Tcl, where you can't do line-ending comments without putting a semicolon *in front* of the comment.

(That's because Tcl has very little syntax, so comments are really the "#" command which takes any number of arguments and simply ignores them all. So if you want to put a comment on the same line as another command, you have to separate the two commands with a semicolon, as with any two commands on one line. Since commands can also be terminated by newline, same-line comments are often the only place you'll find a semicolon, since you'd otherwise usually have one command per line.)

Having never heard the word before, "clapotis" sounds like a nasty sexually transmitted disease, probably involving blistered sores!!!

It does sound like one, doesn't it! But no, it's some sort of lace-like shawl/scarf. Here's the pattern, with pictures and whatnot.

Ahaha I have heard it referered to as "The Clap" in the Ravelry forums -- deliberately in that case. Probably related to how far it has spread through the community... :x

Just to keep you in the knitting loop, pretty much the entire knitting community also realized that clapotis (which is intended to be pronounced CLAP-oh-tea...yeah, I don't even know) may as well be an STD. The pattern spread like one, infecting even the most proactive knitters (myself included).

It is going very quickly, even though I'm using sockweight rather than the worsted that is recommended!

I had to tweak it a bit so it would be easier to work combination style, but it seems pretty straightforward for english/continental.

I knit mine in Koigu PPPM. It still zoomed right along.

Oooh mine is in Koigu PPPM too :D A slightly different colorway though: a bit more pastel. I've been waffling about whether to continue because I'm not sure how the clapotis will drape with the sock yarn, but yours looks fine, so I will continue to zoom along on this!

Just give it a good blocking. Koigu forgives all sorts of sins, evils, and bad thoughts. It is truly a wonder of yarn.

*pets it* I do so love the Koigu I got. It feels a bit rougher than some of my other yarn, but in a really nice way. The colors are absolutely brilliant too!
