When I was a kid, I was scared of escalators. I was terrified of the sharp "teeth" at the top and bottom, and I was convinced that if I didn't step off fast enough, I'd be sucked in and shredded to bits.

It was so bad, that my dad had to patiently teach me to get on, get off, get on, get off, go with the flow, get on, get off. And eventually I got over my fear of the escalator -- though even now, I take care not to step off too close to the edge.

Today, my shoelace got caught at the bottom, and was stuck for a few critical moments before I could tug myself loose. I didn't get sucked in. I didn't get shredded. I SURVIVED. HOORAY.

Now, let's not talk about the time I was scared that a water-monster would pop up from the bowl and drag me down, if I sat on the toilet too long...

An old girlfriend of mine was scared of escalators. I hear that that's actually a fairly common fear. A brief Google search says that thousands of people every year are injured on them.

Personally, I'm just afraid of getting stuck on them. The last time that happened to me, I had to stand there for hours.

I'm actually afraid of getting caught between lift doors. Think how that must hurt! It may have that happened to me once or twice, I can't remember. Maybe it never happened at all, not that it matters.

And I can never find a dog to use on the ones that are marked "Dogs must be carried".

I was afraid of escalators too growing up <3. I still avoid really really long ones (like ones that are taller then 1 story).

Alot of kids wearing crocs get stuck in Singapore -_-'''

My aunt's very scare of escalators...

but the toilet bowl thing, I get it too. After watching some movie (or either its my imagination) of a hand sticking out of the toilet bowl... I always have that image stuck in my mind. Along with Sadako coming out of the tv from The Ring, some random long haired girl standing in the dark, and The Tale of Two Girls with the girl on the edge of the couch... -_-''

As long as you can find a gel-padded bra to pack in your checked luggage when you're flying to the US...

Yeah! Jurassic Park man... it was like... I think you can't play the new Left 4 Dead (which is like House of Dead, but 100 times worse). I'm thinking of playing that... in my friend's house ._.'''

Yeah, you know especially the little stuff that can be stuck for patterns? Those are the main culprits -_-'''

Don't watch... I didn't, but mistakenly saw some part of it on some variety program T_T

Crocs are way softer shoes, so maybe they deform into the escalator itself?
