JUJU MY LEAVE JUST GOT APPROVED. I WILL BE IN JAPAN FOR NINE DAYS IN MARCH. Ummm. Some of it is going to be traveling around, so I may not see you for more than a day or two, but Japan, Juju, and you, Jujuju. For real, and certain, unless something interferes which I hope nothing does and oh man I have got to start saving up not that I don't really have some money saved up, but I need some more money I think. And I need to brush up on my Japanese again because I have forgotten everything I ever knew *dork*. And and. And!

And.

I should visit Japan again sometime. Last time was over 20 years ago and that's far too long.

Where in the U.S. were you going that Japan was on the way? ;)

!!!

Okay, so nine days is like... March 15 to 23, wasn't it? That covers at least three days that I'll have off, maybe four depending on your departure time. TAKE YOUR PICK. 8D I will be completely at your disposal on any day that I have off while you're here... we'll go shopping in Ikebukuro! I'll treat you to dinner (and lunch and afternoon tea)! You can come home with me where I will tie you up and keep you in my closet forever! (PRETEND I DIDN'T SAY THE LAST PART ALOUD.)

I am excited.

By near the end, you mean... how near? Because my weekend falls early on in those nine days, and then I have the 20th off because it's a public holiday. Otherwise, it's only the 23rd left, unless you want to hang out on the evening of the 22nd (and you could crash at my place and we could make it an all-nighter!). Or something. Do you know anything more definite? Like when your flight home is?

That only leaves the 23rd, then. But you're leaving on the 23rd, aren't you?

I finish work at 7:00, so I could meet you in Ikebukuro by around 8:00. Or if you could manage to find me in Shiki, then we could meet up even earlier... and we could hang out around home, then go out to Ikebukuro on Sunday morning. :D :D :D

WOAH! Congratulations on the awesome vacation plan and all that planning, diplomatic skill, and sheer luck to make sure everything pushed through. :D

Send home pix please? I am deathly curious, and utterly jealous, though I think I could not survive going solo like you are.

Anyhoo, enjoy!

Oooh. :D Then all the better - the more the merrier!

My folks have been toying with the idea about going there over summer, but alas, no contacts (apart from possibly Sumida-sensei) and really expensive stuff there and me being the only *REALLY interested* party in the family to go to Japan make it low on the list.

But I'm not complaining. I often kick and scream (ok, maybe not kick) about not wanting to go on a [boring] vacation overseas with no internet and stuff, but I end up appreciating the place just the same. :D
