We have ten 1L cartons of milk that are best before January 8, 2008 (plus one more of the same, still unopened, in the refrigerator). That gives us a bit more than a carton of milk to consume a day. I need ideas.

I've done the first three. Anyone have any suggestions for what we can do with the rest?

Fun things to do with milk

  1. Drink it.
  2. Drink it?
  3. Drink it!
  4. milkshake
  5. smoothie
  6. cereal
  7. pudding
  8. cheese
  9. ice cream
  10. pour it into someone's shoes
  11. bathe in it
  12. bake
  13. make yoghurt
  14. feed stray cats
  15. chocolate milk
  16. pancakes
  17. biscuits
  18. waffles
  19. muffins
  20. cakes
  21. brownies
  22. egg nog
  23. try to put it back into the cow
  24. hot chocolate
  25. repeat Galileo's experiment
  26. donate
  27. special milk!facial mask
  28. milk shampoo/conditioner
  29. art!form (e.g. mix with paint or crushed crayons)
  30. wash hands or feet (I dipped my finger into the last drop of milk in the glass. That counts!)
  31. swimming pool
  32. oreos with milk (Going to assume that this is anything + milk -- I tried a slice of honeycake in milk. Yum!)
  33. milky way (I see stars!)
  34. freight express to [livejournal.com profile] hanase
  35. snort it up your nose

(This is why I shouldn't delete icons. I had one perfect for this post from Kawaii Not -- "I can't tell if I'm milk that's gone bad D: or yoghurt that $something :D" -- but I deleted it a few weeks ago)

Update
Aha! Thanks to the lovely [livejournal.com profile] chasethestars, I have the icon I needed. Also, I've begun adding your suggestions to the entry, and I'm bolding the stuff that I've done.

milkshake: ice cream + milk, blended
smoothie: fruit + ice + milk or juice, blended

Some places use frozen yogurt (or soft-serve ice cream) in smoothies. I make it with fruit and juice.

KN icons (http://www.kawaiinot.com/icons.php) are easy to find. It's finding the corresponding strip that's hard! (I forget now which one I was trying to find the other day though)

They're tagged fairly well over at [livejournal.com profile] kawaii_not (although I can't say how effective it is, as I've not really gone looking for one in particular yet.)

Pudding! Pudding is tasty.

I also like to make cheese (mozzarella), but that requires rennet and acid.

decent suggestion: ice cream?
[livejournal.com profile] shitty_advice suggestion: pour some of it in someone's shoes. They'll get a nice soothing milky foot-soak!

BATHE IN IT! (Hey, if it was good enough for Cleopatra, it's good enough for you)

Bake? Actually make yougurt? Feed stray cats?

Oh! Oh! Make ICE CREAM? (I have no idea if milk is needed for this. Hahaha)

I second make ice cream from it! There was a really simple recipe my little sister brought home from preschool about ten years ago that just involved shaking the ingredients around in a plastic bag, so maybe you could find something similarly simple online? :-)

Also, hot chocolate!

just saw this on tv last christmas eve... but the show said place the bag with the mixture in a salad spinner(?) filled with ice and salt... spin it and after several minutes(probably more than 15...), the milk-cream mixture will become ice cream... looks really good on tv... ^__^ you should try it out.

seems like a good source for some exercise too haha!

That looks like the same one, except I think we always just used regular salt, and I could never decide whether it was really necessary. :-)

Entire cartons. Droplets wouldn't let you skew your experimental data to support your intended conclusions. :-)

- Special Milk!Facial mask
- Milk Shampoo/Conditioner
- Turn it into an Art!Form. Eg. Mix it with paint or crushed crayons. You could be the next Famous!Artist we are looking for.
- Wash your hands/feet with it
- Make a swimming pool out of it
- Dip your oreos in milk (inspired by commercial ad)
- The Milky Way (I see stars!)
- Freight express one or two cartons of milk to me :D
