Credit Card Confirmation, etc

Yay! So yesterday evening, I got a call from (a very bored very fast-talking representative of) HSBC asking me to confirm certain things on my application. Still not certain that I'll get the card, but I feel better knowing that it at least reached them :-)

Good luck! (They are fast-talking anywhere around the world. Maybe they are all in one call centre!)


Around here I think it's pretty easy to get a HSBC card. My sister first tried to get one with Citibank and was rejected. ^^;

Heee. It does sound for sure like they're just following a standard template.

I think it may be pretty easy to get an HSBC card here, too. But I am almost afraid to say that because I might jinx it!

I had a weird experience with HSBC - they called and said I was pre-approved, sent me a form, I sent back info and...nothing. Nothing at all for three months.

No problem, since I have four cards already, only two of which I carry at any given moment, and only one that I use regularly. I just filled in the application for the lulz and because I felt sorry for the agent. ;p

Then, after three months, I got a call from HSBC OFFERING ME THE SAME PRE-APPROVED CARD I APPLIED FOR three months before. Huh? I told them to check their database history, and when the agent asked if I still wanted to reactivate the application, told them quite succinctly, that I refused to deal with that side of the bank ever again.

I mean, I had the same experience before with Citibank. Once is quite enough, thank you! :D

Oh man! I avoided getting a card from RCBC because they had similar behavior. Ah well, I guess all credit card companies are the same D:
