I'm basically knitting a huge drawstring pouch/bag right now (I hope to be able to fit my boxing gloves in it), and I'm cautiously cheerful so far. I'm at 320 stitches as given by the pattern, and I am at the point where I'm supposed to knit straight for 4". I'm thinking about playing with it and putting in eyelets and stuff (learned the basics of increasing/decreasing over the weekend! \o/ want to practice) but I can't find anything suitable (with the right number of stitches in the pattern) which I can adapt to knitting in the round *rueful*

There is also the issue of needing to adjust any pattern I find so it works in the round, rather than straight knitting. Feather and fan looked okay-ish to try, but I'm having difficulty with the second round; things not lining up not sure if it's because I made a mistake, or it's because I'd tried to adapt it to the round, hehehe.

So maybe I'll just stud the strip with eyelets, in a plain repetition, if I can't figure anything else out. I'll probably play with it a bit more first, though. (I have a hank of yarn which I'm using to try to mock stuff on. Casting on 60 stitches, seeing if it's possible to knit a pattern in the round, tearing everything down... So far nothing has worked! But it is kinda fun to try. But I want to finish my pouch. I am torn.)

ah of course... :) I don't tend to think of a yo as an increase as I tend to use it for decorative things and use other methods of increasing... :)
