afunaHotel wifi was ridiculously expensive (I think each day cost about as much as a month's worth of internet back home?), but I did find the less expensive alternative of a prepaid card. Which still costs money, just... not as much.
I am slightly weirded out that I had to provide a xerox copy of my passport and visa before I could buy the prepaid card. Makes me nervous about what I say online, except over IRC (which I access via ssh)
