Hmm, I've never done [community profile] thefridayfive before, but I think I want to try.

1. When is your usual bedtime?

Anywhere from midnight to 4am. This week, I've been falling asleep at six, but I'm trying to adjust back down.

2. How many hours of sleep do you need?

I can do four and not be too loopy the next day, but six to seven hours is much better.

3. Do you usually remember your dreams?

Not really! Every couple of weeks I may have one I remember when I wake up, and very rarely I'll have one that sticks with me for years afterwards.

4. How many pillows do you sleep with?

Two.

5. What is the wildest dream you've ever had?

I was running around a post-apocalyptic world, which was all buildings with half their levels underwater, and I was the only person left alive.

There was a gigantic sea-dwelling monster lurking in the buildings; it was trying to kill me and when I went into the buildings where it couldn't reach me, it would send an assassin into the building after me. I wasn't alone though! I teamed up with a whale, and we were both trying to defeat the gigantic sea-dwelling monster.

So: I'd leap from the level of the ocean to the top of the buildings to gather... stuff, and then run back down to the water to meet the whale when there was danger (usually in the form of aforementioned assassins). The swimming through the water was really fun, so was breaching the water with the whale, and so was leaping from building to building.

Near the end, we were trying to get above the gigantic sea-dwelling monster, so we could leap up out of the water and smash into it as we fell down. I don't think I managed to dream this through to the end, which makes me sad now. What happened to the gigantic sea-dwelling monster? Is the whale all right? I have no answers :-(

Leaping up effortlessly really high, or just plain flying, are both recurring themes in my dreams. I tend to have one several times a year. (The one where I leaped from a dark alleyway to the top of building which was like 40 gajillion stories high, in order to infiltrate the office of a scary corporate overlord is another of my favorites <333 So is the one where I was a crime-fighting vigilante like Superman, though I didn't really fight crime in the dream; I just jumped from floor to building top and from building top to floor, and and one time I jumped really really high and discovered the ceiling was a video-game-like wire mesh and I was pondering the possible implications of that when I woke up. So is the one where a whole troop of people (or was it dinosaurs?) with nefarious intentions broke into my home, and I spent most of the dream trying to figure out how to get past them and into free space with my brothers, so that we could all fly away. And then we did \o/)

Dude, your dreams are awesome. They seem like so much fun! I love all the monster-fighting you get to do. And teaming up with WHALES! Teaming up with DINOSAURS! Seriously, awesome.
