Alternatively, you can use \Q and \E inside your regex.

Oh! That looks much neater. Is it better to do:

/char\Q(5)\E/ or /\Qchar(5)\E/?

By better I mean which is the more common convention/which is more readable :)

Yup! It's an xkcd thing. Same here, have it on the RSS feed, but I was checking out a blog entry someone had linked :-(

It's too bad we don't see each other :p I have the first three seasons, and can burn them for you again. It's a bit intense, and can be depressing, sa totoo lang. Interesting. Very... human, for lack of a better term. Lots of gray areas. Definitely not for the faint of heart. I keep needing to alternate between watching it and something light hearted.

I would recommend at least downloading the first season before committing to buying the rest if you want ;-)
