Date: 2008-04-13 08:24 pm (UTC)I mentioned to my husband that I was thinking of reading War and Peace next and he says he wants to read it outloud to me! He has a great reading voice. We probably won't start right away, but I'm looking forward to it. It's been years since he read a novel to me.
I haven't ever re-read anything significant like Tolstoy, but I've heard that second readings can bring out different aspects. Nice.

Date: 2008-04-15 03:47 pm (UTC)I hope you have fun reading War and Peace with your husband! Get him plenty of water! The book is a tad long ;-)
Oh, and this is sort of strange, but I noticed that your comment ended up as a reply to my entry and not to other comments. Has that happened to you a lot lately? I'm wondering if something has changed...
