Falling asleep

afunaI've been having a weird tickle in my throat, and been coughing all week. Last night, the cough literally kept me up all night -- every time I was even half-asleep, I was jerked awake by my coughing. So I gave up, picked up my knitting (as previous entry. New yarn *_*), and put on a marathon of Bones season 3.
Next thing I knew, it was 6am, I was exhausted, but every time I tried to lie down, my cough acted up again.
Just when I'd given up hope of getting any rest, my mom (who woke up early) comes into the room with cough syrup and a bottle of water. She makes me take some, I lie down, and I fall asleep peacefully like a baby.
I love my mom :)
