...ahaha. This last leg has us changing hotels every night. 150km down the road I suddenly realized i left my other pair of jeans in the last hotel.

Facepalming at self. Facepalming~

It looks like I'll have to do laundry in Austin at some point. None of the other options appeal (same pair of jeans five days straight, wearing a skirt at a tech conference, going shopping when I could be hanging out with DW folks)

eh.

On the plus side they fit horribly, so... No no they actually fit perfectly, only had two pairs of jeans that did -- now one. I will miss them, they served my purposes well. (Covered me up, didn't fall off, didn't extend five inches past the end of my leg. Surprisingly hard combination in a pair of jeans)

In other news, I am inland for the first time in a week. Surrounded by mountains and fucking gorgeous trees. Spending a lot of time staring out the window lost in my own thoughts. So nice :)

dunno if it's worthwhile, but call the hotel to see if they can send to hotel two-three days down the road for you to retrieve?

Noooooo. Losing jeans is awful. I only replace mine when they have literally fallen apart, and then there is this battle where I decide what is more likely to happen first, shopping or sewing. (The answer is always shopping, even though I am terrible at it and hate it, and as a result end up buying the exact same pair of jeans no matter how well or ill the last pair fit. Just easier, you know? Ugh, shopping. But sewing is worse because I cannot actually sew.)

agree, call hotel and see if they can send to hotel in austin or whatever. depending on their polices they may or may not keep clothing in the lost and found, but it's worth a shot!

and i'm sure someone will go shopping with you on sunday if you want :)

FWIW, I am bound & determined to fly carry-on only, but I'm probably not going to manage to cram six days worth of clothing in my backpack...so if you do end up having to do laundry, you'll at least have some company. =) I think the hotel has a coin-op guest laundry too, which makes the task a lot less arduous!

If the hotel doesn't have a coin op, I am staying with my sister-in-law, who is generally happy to let me use her laundry machines while I'm there. I don't mind doing a laundry run or two.

Oh, losing clothing that fit perfectly is always a blow. :(

Disregard-if-inconvenient: if the label on the other one is still legible/it's from a known source & known size/style: could a replacement be ordered online and shipped to Rah or someone else who's coming?
