Roast suckling pig x 2, one for dinner, the other for media noche (midnight)
Usually we don't even have one. This year (because we weren't complete for Christmas???) we ended up with two.
On the left all chopped up was regular lechon from Kamayan. On the right is Cebu lechon from Manong's.

After trying them both I can say that both are pretty good :) neither has much meat but that worked out pretty well because we're only three families, and really it's the crispy skin people look forward to.

Date: 2013-01-01 11:42 am (UTC)We, being a family of people watching their cholesterol and whatever, merely had ham, fruit salad (but what a great honking bowl of fruit salad, and it didn't even have the raisins in it, yo), and spaghetti to grace the table. It was delicious. There was red wine and Coke to wash it down, and the cats were all - WOWZA PARPAR AND MARMAR FORGOT IT WAS CURFEW WAT IZ DIS NOISE - except for Dona Buday who SLEPT LIKE AN ANGEL in the midst of the firecracker barrage.
Of course there are leftovers. We'll be nomming on fruit salad till mid-January, I kid you not. :)
