Catching up on TV

I will probably always be an episode or two or three behind everyone else >_>
Oh man, the more I watch GoT, the more I warm up to the portrayal of Cersei. I like her expression at the beginning of the tournament especially; that level off pissed-offness and long-sufferingness yeaaaah I actually like that. I also liked that thing where she's talking to Joffrey and she says that everyone who's not with them is their enemy; just the way that played out is man, I mean you can see where she's coming from and it's not just totally inexplicable. Though that could have been from the end of the previous episode, I dunno!
Don't know if my liking her more is because I've reached the end of book 4, and am comparing how she is later in the series to how she is near the beginning of the series as she is on the show, or if it's because I've gotten used to where the TV-version is different from my mental picture of her from the books. Maybe both...
Arya ♥
I... oddly have more sympathy for Allister here? I mean Jon Snow is obviously undermining his authority, and he kinda needs some authority in order to train men for the night's watch, when most of them aren't even there willingly. So he has a point about needing to be tough. On the other hand he's an asshole because he likes being an asshole, not because he thinks it's the only way to drill toughness into the recruits' thick heads. So ehhhhh. A good teacher he isn't.
I also have more sympathy for Sansa; perhaps it's because the actress just has this way with her facial expressions, I mean when she glances back at Joffrey at the tournament, and then he looks away and her face changes and... I guess she seems more aware of things than she comes across in the books.
Dany is, I mean it's a bit slower than in the books, but she's finally growing into her agency so yay \o/ (WHAT I DON'T KNOW is if it was deliberate on the part of the series' writers to take it more slowly so that the scene in the tent would be more dramatic, or if it was because they couldn't imagine her doing what she was supposed to in the earlier scenes, or if it was because they figured the impact would not come across onscreen until this point in the TV series where you can't see inside her mind the way you can in the books)
The end of Game of Thrones episode 4 is still one of the stupidest moves ever. I mean, I don't even... I have no idea how any of that was ever supposed to turn out well.
Castle season ender:
oh, so that's why everyone has been reacting all over my read page
Hawaii Five-O season ender:
*peer* okay yes pretty standard as these things go
Still catching up to everything else. I keep saving up The Vampire Diaries because I can't stand to watch it all at once, because then it'll be over :x I'm only like ten episodes behind though, instead of twenty. Progress!
With all the shows going into hiatus, I'm about to lose my background for mindless-knitting, so I'm trying really hard to stretch things out >_< Perhaps I need a couple more shows? I only have two or three shows which remain active. On the other hand, perhaps some of the shows that have been on hiatus for a long time (Drop Dead Diva! Lost Girl!) will come back on.
