I guess this is for real? I've just reserved an apartment in London from June 22-29.

Next up is getting my Germany visa :)

* comparing a country to a city isn't fair, but I have figured out lodgings in England while I'm still trying to figure out lodgings in Germany, if I can even get my visa in time *G*

The US is probably off for this year, so I'd probably be around \o/ (well, not so yay for the it being off the table, though that's not for entirely bad reasons... *is mysterious*). Haven't decided on dates for the replacement holiday yet, but I'd even plan around you :)

Some Un-Asked-For Advice Regarding London

The British Museum is a must-see.

Also, the Science and Technology museum is a must if you're interested in computing - it has the Babbage Engine!

Travelling in London - use the London Underground (aka The Tube). You can get a day ticket and wander around to your heart's content.

And though I'm not precisely rejoicing that you're probably not heading to the US, I'd be really really excited to get to meet you! I was thinking June 29 onwards, I just go to your area of Germany for a couple days? The only horrible thing about it is that it's the middle of the week, so now I'm wondering if maybe I should go to some place else ~touristy~ for a couple days, then drop by through the weekend (Friday), and then fly home Sunday evening or Monday morning.

Thoughts? Would that be convenient for you? :D

My first thought was, "Why do you need a separate visa for Germany? Doesn't a Schengen one let you visit any Schengen country?" Then I realised that the UK isn't part of the Schengen area, d'oh.
