Have been in total social withdrawal ever since I made that one big emotional entry *rueful* It does not help that my connection has been all kinds of bratty (bouncing between ~1800ms average ping time with 20% packet loss to a more acceptable 350ms average ping time with only 10% packet loss)

I AM AROUND THOUGH. And I will catch up on everyone I meant to comment to <3

In the meantime, I shall enjoy doing some holiday knitting while watching the Pacquiao-Margarito fight. I already know how it ends, but from the accounts I've read, it's worth at least taking a peek at. The TV commercials are pretty much killing it though. There's a good ten minutes of commercials between each round.

Did anyone else notice that the Bulldog superglue commercial parodied the Old Spice commercials btw?

"Look at my superglue. Now look at me. This is your superglue. This is me... (something something). Can your superglue do this?"

I saw a commercial that wasn't trying to be a parody, but just trying to use the same method - and it failed miserably. It wasn't funny or clever or interesting, just embarrassing. I can't even recall what they were selling, which should say something right there!

Luckily for me I had already planned to go to the yarn store today, because I sat down to start a Noro striped scarf and discovered my skein of brightly colored sock yarn is regular sock yarn (and 400 meters) and my browns-and-greys skein is silk garden sock, which is 320 meters. So I'm going to get partners for each. Which means two scarves - two presents!

I'm trying not to think about the fact one skein of Noro sock will cost me $20.
