Oops, notifs

I appear to have done something that is now preventing me from being notified for any comments that were made to my LJ. Not sure if other kinds of notifications were affected -- I'm going to try to keep up in other ways but uhhh if I miss a reply to one of my entries or one of my comments, well,

IT'S NOT YOU, IT'S ME.

Checked and unchecked checkboxes and I'm not sure what hit what, but I have LJ comment notifs back again :)

FWIW, I had a bunch of LJ notification emails last night which were delayed about 12 hours. Still missing a couple, I think. So it may just be LJ's notification system getting overloaded or something.

Hmm, I'm getting notifications for all other kinds speedily; just the ones on my journal aren't working (and I got the first one just fine. It's just that after I edited/deleted a couple, those stopped working *sad*)

So I'm not sure! I do hope it's just a delay though.

Huh. Dunno. That is odd.

Tried turning notifs off and back on? (Obvious step, but I can't think of anything better offhand.)

I did *sadface* Oh well, I'll just have to live with it. I'll wait a day; if it's not a case of notifs being delayed, I'll update my footer to let people know I won't see their comments on my journal.

There's a Known Issue that sometimes notif checkboxes are getting unticked (currently it's gunk's latest headache) along with other notif weirdness (seriously, this is why the cat has been 60+ for months). So, make sure they didn't accidentally become unchecked? :(

Yeah :( I went through some troubleshooting steps with Abby, but when I went to look, the option for comments still had "email" checked even though I didn't get any notifs so I'm rather stuck :/

(But thank you! I do wish it really had been that simple)

*peeks* it was checked, and I checked and unchecked it to no apparent effect.

Ah well. It will either get fixed, or it won't. If it does, then I'm okay, and if it doesn't, then I'm... not as much. Heh.

I knocked some settings about and I'm not sure what did it, but I appear to have gotten comment notifs back again \o/
