heh, yeah, you replied just as I was editing to read:

and of course now I notice you gave the stitch count in your entry. 320 stitches is the wrong number for F&F, that's why you're having problems. If you want to do F&F with that, you can do:

Multiple of 20 stitches

Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Knit
Row 3: k1; (k2tog) * 3; (yo, k1) * 6; (k2tog) * 3; k1
Row 4: Purl

I also really recommend stitch markers.
