Dubai / Abu Dhabi so far

There are many pretty things here, but there's also a lot of emphasis on showing off how much money can buy. I think I prefer reading about these things to actually being here. 100 hectare hotel OMG is sorta okay to read about, but a bit meh just on its own.

Or no it's grand and all but it's a pretty arbitrary thing to celebrate and not all that onteresting. Overwhelmed and cranky and missing simple pleasures :/

On the plus side am with family + cousins instead of just immediate family, so we are getting a lot of bonding time together :)

Navel-gazing

I worry that I'm becoming jaded because these things don't impress me anymore. But but maybe not. Because I don't want more luxury more gold more bling more wow. All I want is less.

Sigh. Well I'm in a quieter place right now and feel better. Maybe I'm just an introvert running out off cope?
