To watch or not to watch? The Good Wife episode 14
Friday, February 18th, 2011 08:50 pmThe Good Wife, episode 14
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. I can't decide whether to watch this episode or not.
Episode 14: Michael J Fox comes back in his role as lawyer.
Pros:
Michael J Fox ♥
Michael J Fox as deliciously evil lawyer
Michael J Fox looks like he's having fun
The show not, you know, trying to cover up disability
Cons:
Last time, they played up the whole "people with tics are faking fakers faking it for attention and exaggerate their tics to manipulate people".
I hate that! I have tics of my own, mild enough that people tend to not notice*, but definitely there and definitely not under my control. It takes me straight back to high school and trying to explain myself to a martinet teacher who was convinced that I was being deliberately disruptive (she hated me anyway because I was smart but lazy *G* the tic thing was just a bonus) and --
Okay, fine, I have issues. But they're valid ones :)
* either that, or people are so self-absorbed that they can't spare the attention to notice. This is fine by me! And I think it's a perfectly good way to live.
Anyway, I am caught in a dilemma because the pro is a good pro (Michael J Fox ♥), but the con is bad enough that I'll probably feel grumpy and hate this episode during and after.
