Don't knock yourself too hard over not trusting your initial instincts - at least now you know to follow them, no matter how foolish you may seem in the end. I went through the same thing with Ramon's first heart attack, and every alarm after that, and by God's grace, I still have a husband...*hugs*
Can we like, dust up your ex-veterinarian with The Feather Duster of Doom (TM)? How iffy, to just give a cursory examination and prescribe stuff without explaining...augh.
Charlie is AWWWW-some. Such a sweet tempered darling, to not be upset over the eyedrops or the change in diet (whatever will you do if he acquires a taste for the wet food instead of kibble)! Reminds me of our Q-Bie when I had to medicate him for "sore eyes". Despite his dislike of the eyedrops, now that his eye is all better, he still comes running when he's called, all sweet and cuddly.
