Aghhh does anyone have any tips for where to start troubleshooting a flickering dual monitor? It's getting pretty bad, and I'm two seconds away from throwing the entire thing out the window.

...okay, maybe three, but that's it.

Maybe I should switch from DVI back to VGA? :( I don't recall it being this bad back when I was using the VGA connector.

ETA: Switched back to VGA and I think that's fixed it \o/ So much less pent-up frustration now!

Hee switching to VGA seems to have fixed it. (thank goodness because I was heading straight into road... tech? rage territory)

All I can think is that the DVI cable is bad.

I'd expect woes on the VGA line and the DVI to be perfetly fine, so this is totally backwards, heh.

It is probably because I have uhhh. A third party mini-dvi-to-HDMI connector, then an HDMI cable, leading to a HDMI-to-DVI converter, which connects to my monitor (which is DVI)

Many possible points of failure /o\

(I have a mini-dvi-to-dvi connector, but no cable alas *g*)
